Summary
A groundbreaking and inspiring book that provides the nine keys that can lead to a spontaneous remission from cancer - even after conventional medicine has failed.
Early in her career, Kelly Turner, PhD, a researcher, lecturer, and counselor in Integrative Oncology, was shocked to discover that no one was studying episodes of radical remission, when people recover against all odds without the help of conventional medicine, or after conventional medicine has failed. She was so fascinated by this kind of remission that she spent eight years travelling through 10 countries to learn what factors that people experiencing this phenomenon encountered. Her evidence presents nine factors that she believes can help even terminal patients turn their lives around. They are:
- Radically changing your diet
- Deepening your spiritual connection
- Increasing positive emotions
- Releasing suppressed emotions
- Taking herbs and vitamins
- Using intuition to help inform health decisions
- Taking control of one’s health
- Having strong reasons to live
- Receiving social support
Every chapter of Radical Remission includes a dramatic story of one person’s journey back to wellness. The insight that the possibilities for healing are more abundant than we had previously known will give people concrete ways to defy the prognoisis of terminal cancer. It chronicles people from all walks of life, and from all over the world. This is a book for those who are in the midst of receiving conventional cancer treatment, who are looking for other options because that treatment has done all that it can, but who still have hope.

Don't upset yourself if you are a Catholic!
As a devoted Catholic, I found the subtle anti-Catholic sentiment unnecessary and felt that the comments about Catholic survivors reflected a lack of understanding of the faith. Nevertheless, the practical advice and inspiring stories make this book deserving of a good 3-star rating. If the author ever reads this review, I would like to invite her to truly learn about the Catholic faith first before making judgments. Please research as well: John of God as mentioned in the book who cured someone is in prison, A dozen women have come forward in Brazil to accuse a prominent self-styled spiritual healer of sexually abusing them at his clinic. Thank you.

Truly inspiring
After my stage 4 cancer diagnosis this was the first book that gave me hope and helped take away the anxiety and fear. I would recommend this book even if you don’t have cancer as a template for a balanced and present life.
