As their daughter is born, Gerry heads off to war, leaving Ruby to cope alone. Many years later, now retired, Ruby looks back at her family history and uncovers a tale of lies that she could never have suspected....

Megs other book" Finding Peggy" again a Belter !!
Which character – as performed by Barbara Rafferty – was your favourite?
without a doubt Ruby it has to be... but Doctor Donald came a close second..
If you made a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?
I don't know..
Any additional comments?
the family of Ruby's are a laugh, except for Big Bee , Iris the Slut, and poor old Uncle Jakie and Wee dug. you have got to listen to this even if you are not from Glasgow. the voice of Barbara Rafferty is superb a 5***** raiting . this story will stay with me for a very long time. its worth a Wee credit.. go on spoil yourself..
