Summary

Rule number 18: Daddy’s boy will always believe in his Santa daddy.

Homeless, alone, and now jobless, Cameron Evans is lost...until he’s found, after a prominent local attorney literally trips over him when the boy is passed out from dehydration.

Scott Hendrickson has two things in life: his job as an assistant district attorney and his son Davey. Other than that, he lives alone in a house that’s too big, too empty, and too lonely.

It’s not just Cameron’s life that might change for the better when Scott takes him in. Scott can provide material things and security, but Cameron returns the favor by breathing fresh air into Scott’s stale life.

Two men who need each other and one magical holiday season. Could a little Christmas magic be all that’s needed to bring the biggest gift of all? Maybe, Cameron doesn’t need a sugar daddy because he already has a Santa daddy.

This is the third book in a series about not-so-perfect daddies, adorable “boys”, and one sassy brat with an insane list of rules.

Get ready for all the squishy holiday feels you’d want from a Susan Hawke book.

Great

This is a great instalment to the series. Cameron and scott are so sweet and amazing together. My heart went out to Cameron and I just wanted to cuddle him.

Once again micheal did an fantastic job bring this story to life with the emotion he put into it.

The more I read/listen about Davey the more I cant wait for his book

Rules for Santa by Susan Hawke loved it. This story and characters will keep you entertained from beginning to end. I really loved the chemistry between Cameron and Scott. If you like Daddy's and boys this is the story for you.
The Narrator Michael Pauley did a fantastic job bringing these characters to life.

Davey's Rules 0.5 Mr Pauley deserves a big kiss!

After the first 2 Davey's Rules books , I was really looking forward to this. And I was not disappointed.
There was some really sweet moments in this.

Davey is having lunch with his Dad Scott when the busboy drops his bucket and gets himself fired. Scott has left his car around the back of the restarant so when he's going to retrieve it he falls over a pair of legs He rcognises the guy as Cameron the server who got fired.
And he's out cold. He calls for an ambulance and stays with Cameron.
He finds out about Cameron and takes him home with him to recover.
They fall in love and Davey is his usual sassy self and tells Scott he's happy for him but don't think he's going to call Cameron Daddy if things progress.
The most toucing moment for me is when Cameron shaves Scott's beard.
Am looking forward to more of these stories and already have a though in my head who Davey might ebnd up with.

A big shout out to Michael Pauley who has yet again captured Davey to perfection

Not so many rules but a sweet sweet Daddy and boy!

In the third instalment of Davey’s Rules the story focuses on Scott - Davey’s father and Cameron, the red headed server that waits on them when Davey and Scott are out for lunch.

What starts off as a rescue turns into more, as Scott gets Cameron to trust him after his past life experiences. Cameron’s story made me really feel for him, especially when we see how he feels about himself - I really wanted to cuddle him (or make sure that his Daddy got to cuddle him). I loved both main characters and the progression of their relationship. All the Santa based innuendos were hilarious and Davey was as diva as always (I’m seriously looking forward to his story, and Jeff’s, and whoever else we can get!). An adorable, sugary sweet Christmas story that proves Christmas miracles can happen, and hallmark movies can come true. The narration of all the characters was good and kept me engaged. I’ll definitely be looking out for the rest of the series!

Brill

I really enjoyed listening to this book and following Cameron as he deals with being made homeless by his family and then losing his job, Scott finds him unconscious and decides he wants to help him. They have a sweet friendship that is hard for Cameron to accept at first and Scott enjoys being able to look after someone. While they have to deal with Cameron’s dad. Cameron gets his wish to get a Daddy at Christmas. It’s also fun to follow Davey some more as he deals with his dad being a Daddy. I can’t wait for the next book.
The narrator really brings the story to life

A quick listen (or so it feels like)

Although I enjoyed the story line, I felt kind of at a loss at times. Scott and Cameron have a dynamic chemistry on the page that I felt was lackluster in the narration. The story is truly a good one and full of excellent snark. Pauley has done a good job, but I felt again something was lacking from his usual narrations.

as great as the ebook

The story is always full stars, because if I wouldn't like the story as ebook, I wouldn't listen to the audiobook.

The performance from the narrator is also very important for me. I can't listen to a lot, because my English as a non-native-speaker isn't so perfect to follow a whole story over hours, when the narrator speaks too fast or too sloppy. Normally I have to SEE the person, who is talking to me in English. Michael Pauley is one of the 8 narrators (so far), I can listen without break and have no problems to follow. I'm just not yet finish with the book, but I listen enough to give a review.

PLEASE READ MY RATING SYSTEM!!!

To my ratings:

5* - very very good
it's like an A+

4* - very good and will be often re-listening
it's like an A

3* - it's more then a one-time-listening.
it's like a B

Santa Daddy!

This third book in Davey's Rules series by S. Hawke has to be my favourite and I love them all. Michael Pauley, who is one of my all time favourite narrators, does a brilliant job as always of bringing the guys to life!
This is a sweet holiday story and a perfect Daddy/Boy comfort story. Scott takes in a sweet server who happens to be homeless and he helps him get his life together, looking after him just like a proper Daddy should.
Highly recommended for all, especially lovers of Daddy/boy stories.

Super sweet Christmas book

A cute tale of Davey's Daddy. No, not THAT type of Daddy. Cameron is cute as a button and Daddy is loving, caring and sweet. Very low angst.
