Soaps Queen Bitch!

Total escapism!
Ok, ok, this is totally OTT, but that is the point (I think?!). If you loved the TV show Footballers Wives, then you will love this. It has it all - sex, drugs and drama. And I have to say, Clare King’s narration is fantastic. Suspend reality and indulge - this is a great book for right now!

pretty obvious storyline.. man hating sop story that pitches the women as ruthless.. except they lie, cheat and sleep their way to success.. hardly an example of how to get ahead.

Not great, laughed for the wrong reasons I think.
I got to the end of this book, I’m not sure how. To be fair the ending was probably the best bit, made me laugh out loud.
Claire King is a great narrator but I have no idea how she managed not to giggle at some of the ludicrous plot lines and dialogue.
The sex scenes were particularly tedious and dare I say ‘repetitive’. Not entirely sure they were all necessary.
I love Jackie Collins and Jilly Cooper books, this was like a poor imitation of those, sadly.

woman are the worst when they work together!
whilst I worked out what was going to happen as soon as the BIG BAD was unmasked- the story was entertaining and the narration fabulous as it is done by one of the finest soap birches around! the sex scenes were all utterly pointless but I guess they appeal to some....
