About this listen
This is a visionary/experimental novella about a young, beautiful woman, murdered and buried nearby in the same ditch as an old homeless man who was beaten and kicked down the hill on the fringe of a park, left for dead, just out of sight.
The spirit of the old homeless man speaks to her and tries to guide her into the afterlife, explaining to her what happened, and what she must do to let go of the life she had tragically taken from her, with memories of the once-in-a-lifetime experiences that he had lost as well, and brief, raging comments from the escaped murderer.

Thoughtful
This is nothing like what I usually listen too. It’s very thoughtful. But probably a bit beyond me! The poetry is lovely especially as it’s Rodney reading it too me!

What do dead people talk about?
This is a deeply thought provoking story about a man and a woman who were murdered and thrown in the same ditch. They murmur the events, feelings & expectations of their lives leading up to their deaths, and ponder their existence as they lie in the ditch and beyond.
The author has a specific creative writing style which is almost more poetry than the strings of narrative surrounding it. Although it is a very short novella, it actually felt much longer as you listen intently to every word, while you investigate & digest the mystery surrounding their deaths. Very well narrated.
I was given this book for free of my own choosing and I voluntarily left this review.

Different
The story itself wasn't for me, but I did enjoy the narrator's voice it was clear and precise.

A Writer who Deserves to be Read
Strange and wondrous, visceral and heartbreaking. The writing is at times reminiscent of Jim Morrison’s poetry. I really am quite in awe at the talent I have just experienced. More, please - author, don’t stop writing, whatever you do..
This book was given to me for free at my request and I provided this voluntary review.

interesting stuff
Maybe not because I am not used to this style of writing! As I had been given this free book, I enjoyed listening to Rodney Falcon, so thank you for allowing me this opportunity to something different.

A look at what happens
This may be short, but there is a lot packed into this story. Not your typically written prose, Austen Szott lets two souls recently murdered speak to each other after death. An old homeless man helps a young woman know what happened to her and find her way with a poetic prose. It's a provocative listen that will leave you thinking long after it's over. Rodney Falcon's narration is riveting, and let's you in on the pain and struggle of these souls. It's not my normal listen of his, and I loved his change of genre. It showcases his talent and let me see him in a different light. Another enjoyable listen.

Thought provoking
A heartbreakingly beautiful story that highlights how brief life is. Rodney Falcons once was the perfect choice for this book and these characters.
