Das Anwesen des Milliardärs und Ölmagnaten Peter Romanowitsch glich einem Schloss aus der Blütezeit des Barock. So exotisch und exaltiert jenes Wunderwerk der Architektur von außen schien, wies es in seinem Innern den ganzen Luxus auf, den man mit Moskaus Rubljovka verband. Fünfhundert Gäste erbauten sich an der Dekadenz der Festhalle, die zu diesem besonderen Anlass in einem kristallenen Lichtermeer erstrahlte. Einst nannte man es den Wald von Perigon. Tief in seinem Innern befand sich eine Abtei. Die Mönche bewahrten dort seit Anbeginn der Zeit das Wissen Averoignes. Nun gab es nur noch einen von ihnen. Alberich hatte den Wegwahrer erwartet.
