Jade Shaw has lost control of her life.
Pushed around by her warring family, and taken for granted by a boyfriend who's more interested in his "brand" than their relationship, she knows that somewhere along the path to being an adult she's lost her way. And she can't seem to find it again.
The last place she expects to discover answers is on the floor outside her flat. But there it is: a script. Containing her name, and her boyfriend Adam's - and depicting another huge argument in which Jade fails to stand up for herself. The weird thing is: this argument hasn't happened yet.
The row becomes reality. Jade tries and fails to find her voice. Then more scripts appear, predicting infuriating scenarios in which Jade's boss, mum, and bridezilla sister walk all over her.
Whoever is leaving these scripts knows Jade inside-out. But who is writing them? How are they able to predict her future so accurately?
And what can Jade do to re-write the script?

Bloody brilliant!
loved every minute of this! couldn't stop listening so binge listened to it over 2 days. Great characters, brilliantly read. Highly recommend!!

Easy story - a little contrived
Pleasant enough but not groundbreaking. Not sure I really warmed to the characters.
Spoiler alert: plot is basically : “Too Nice” lead character, who is basically everybody’s doormat, learns how to not be a doormat.

It was entertaining enough
I genuinely like Fearne Cotton, she's made a great living off of being good to yourself and this book is a lesson in just that. I liked the little nods to places and people I'm aware she holds dear. The storyline is fun and fairly well executed, I found the main characters inability to stand up for themselves insanely frustrating but no spoilers so no more about that. Narrator was ok, I prefer her acting.

Delving into the complexity of relationships
Really enjoyed this, it certainly makes you think hard about your own relationships with others while surrounding you in wonderful characters and a story full of twists and turns.

Quirky idea
Really enjoyed it. Wanted to find out what happened. Interesting idea. I listen to Fearne cotton a lot and even though it wasn’t her narrating I could hear her through her words and could tell she was the author. Fun entertaining listen.
