About this listen

Six days until the killer strikes... 6 days, 13 hours and 37 minutes to go...

At the end of The Prodigal Daughter, Florentyna Kane is elected President - the first woman President of the United States. At 7.30 one evening the FBI learn of a plot to kill her - the 1572nd such threat of the year. At 8.30 five people know all the details. By 9.30 four of them are dead.

FBI agent Mark Andrews alone knows when. He also knows that a senator is involved. He has six days to learn where - and how. Six days to prevent certain death of the President.

Huge improvement on The Prodigal Daughter

Same narrator but she's learnt how to say the President's name. Wasn't sure I could face this with the grating mispronunciation.

Good but not his best

I like JA's style of writing. He gets you hooked straight away and with this book it is the same. Not really one of his best stories though, bit predictable and dull but nevertheless enjoyable.

Very Good!

A few skips but that isn't Jeffrey Archers fault. Interesting and face paced book, having now read many of Jeffrey Archers books, this is classically in his style of writing. The story line keeps you interested to the end!

sex

unnecessary sex scenes they did not add too the story or the tension.
Descriptions of Washington were interesting along with the workings of American government.

Another great listen!

This book is more about the 'secret security service' stories around the president. Gripping as usual and thoroughly enjoyable and has you guessing right to the very end. Enjoyed every minute!
