Very good until…
About halfway when one of the characters unleashes a grossly offensive anti catholic tirade of abuse about the Virgin Mary. Apart from that a good listen.

Brilliant ya bastards
Can’t keep a good Rifleman down, or another brilliant Sharpe novel. The narration is excellent and immersive!

From disgrace to redemption
Sharpe's brutality gets him into trouble with the Duke but his courage and bravery in battle are, once again, his saviours. Another fast-paced and exciting novel brilliantly performed by Rupert Farley.

Graphic descriptions of battle.
An excellent and well-read instalment in the Sharpe series. The battle scenes were especially good, being graphic and fast-paced. The atmosphere of war in the Naploeonic era was vividly conveyed.

Good story, editorial failure
What on earth was the editor thinking of when this manuscript passed across his / her desk? How can you allow the same annoying 3 word phrase to be used hundreds of times? It must have driven the excellent narrator crazy when he had to say it repeatedly. No reason why this group of soldiers could not have been referred to in other ways from time to time which is good writing style in English. That said, usual good story.
