I Now Love Wine

Some great short stories from the best incarnations of the infamous sleuth and his bumbling assistant.
The choice to retain all of the original audio from the series, including the commercials from the show sponsors, a wine maker, have now convinced me that wine is best drunk before, during and after dinner and even as an accompaniment for burgers - no really!

Too old and hard to listen to... sadly

Oh dear, I loved this Sherlock & Watson on the TV but as an old radio show, too American in its adverts sponsorship every 5 minutes, just too old... sorry

Oldie but Goodie

I really enjoyed this Classic Radio Broadcast. Previous Reviews are negative and wrong. The US Wine Advertising is not every 5 minutes but half an hour, it’s no different from the sponsors just like ITV or Independent Radio. These are Classic from an era that is long gone. Highly recommended. Bravo

Thorough enjoyable

What you need to remember on this one is that it is the original recordings complete with organ music for ‘suspense’ and the sponsors advert at the start, middle and end. It makes you think of families gathered around wooden radios. The stories themselves are great and nostalgic and although the additional bits could have been removed, it would lose its historical authenticity. These actors died before I was born but loved the films and now treasure these.

Interesting tales. Great to hear classic voices.

A trip down memory lane for many. Perhaps simpler times. The second last has a different voice for Watson. That threw me but even that didn't take away overall from that show episode. Nice to all hear while I walked and worked.

Not British enough

Too much American adverts. Not the best Sherlock Holmes drama I would be inclined to ask for a refund

It's an old bbc radio dramatisation

because it's an old dramatization there are lots of different characters.
however it is dated and is overdramatised

American Radio

Terrible American radio keeps interrupting with Petri Wine adverts.
Do not bother if you like proper Radio Drama.
Avoid
