Summary
Some people are just meant to be single all the way…right?
Emerson
Being a widow and a single mom wasn’t part of my plan. But here I am.
I suppose I should consider myself lucky Ben offered us a place to stay. Without him, who knows where we would’ve ended up.
Now all I have to do is figure out how to ignore the way my entirely too sexy new roommate sometimes looks at me… and the way those looks make me feel…
Ben
I loved Emerson first. But that didn’t matter once she fell for my best friend.
So, I moved on. And I was happy. For a while, at least.
Now, I’m a busy single dad who just asked a woman who’ll never be mine to move in with me.
I’ve always been good at hiding my feelings for Emerson. But something tells me I’m about to get even better…
Single All the Way, book 2 in the Single Dads of Dragonfly Lake series, is a steamy and spicy, friends to lovers, second chance, contemporary romance with all the trimmings, including a hero who falls first, forced proximity, and all the small-town hijinks you can handle. Ben & Emerson
4.5 Stars
Ben and Emerson, both widows and single parents of two, are our main characters in Single All The Way by Amy Knupp.
Ben is the local vet, friendly with a big generous heart. Emerson is the town’s salon owner fighting with the solitude left behind by the turns her life has taken in recent years.
Their story is one of resilience, rediscovery but ultimately of finding yourself, how you fit in the world and happiness.
Patrick Zeller and Stephanie Nemeth-Parker were outstanding in their delivery of Ben and Emerson. Brilliant cast!

Cozy, small town holiday comfort
This was a sweet Holiday romance that dealt with the difficulties of moving on after losing a loved one, and letting other people in. In this cozy small town story, Ben tries to teach Emerson that leaning on others doesn't always mean they will let you fall. Her experiences have left her feeling unsure and isolated, but Ben and his family show her what it means to show up for the ones you love.
Wonderful narration! Stephanie and Patrick are delightful together and have complementary styles that flow well. Very similar pacing and well balanced range in voices and emotional performances. Overall this was a good holiday story that gave very Hallmark-esq warm feelings of love and hope.
3.5/5 story, 4/5 narration

Single Parents… ☑️ Childhood friends-to-lovers…☑️ & a bonus for the blended family trope! 💕
Veterinarian, Ben Holloway, has a habit of taking in strays; when his first love/crush and friend Emerson Estes and her kids need an emergency place to stay, it comes naturally to him to offer her his home. It seems like it would be the perfect temporary arrangement. But, as they spend each day with each other (and with each other’s kids), their feelings for each other begin to grow. And now, Ben is starting to believe this temporary arrangement should become more permanent. However, convincing Emerson of this is where the difficulty lies. Emerson is riddled with losses, and so, keeps her heart guarded. Can Ben and Emerson overcome all this and have a future together?
Single All the Way was just so good! I loved every minute I spent reading/listening to this book. I especially loved the friendship between Ben and Emerson. They were just so caring towards each other, and I loved seeing their friendship blossom into a romantic relationship. I especially loved how kind and caring Ben was. A plus was seeing their families interacting with each other, and seeing them become one giant blended family; it was all so cute! 💕
Overall, this book had all the feels. It was heartwarming, with lots of banter, and emotional at the right moments. If you’re looking for your next (double) single parent, childhood friends-to-lovers romance story, do not hesitate to pick this up. Oh, and did I mention this is set during Christmas? So, this would be a perfect read this holiday.
Both Patrick Zeller and Stephanie-Nemeth Parker were amazing with their narrations. Patrick Zeller did wonderful with bringing out the heartbroken, yet kind and caring nature of Ben. Whilst Stephanie-Nemeth Parker was also great at portraying Emerson's guarded, soft nature. They were both able to bring out the heartbreak, but passionate personalities of Ben and Emerson. I could feel all the emotions in their voices. Truly magnificent!

This was such an emotional story.
Both Ben & Emerson have suffered loss, they are both single parents and friends.
I love how Ben welcomes Emerson & her kids into his house like they belong there, he includes her kids in everything and doesn’t make hey feel like a burden.
I enjoyed their friendship and the growth their relationship went through.
I adored all of the kids, they were all absolute sweethearts. Grandma Birdie is the absolutely amazing, I absolutely adore her.
This was full of chemistry, passion, friendship, fear & love.
I adore watching this friends to lovers, blended family bond and grow.
I can’t wait for the next story.
The narration was great.

I love this series!!
This story will tug at your heart strings in the best ways. Ben is a widower and single dad while Emerson is a widowed single mother. Their connection to each other is complicated as Ben and Emerson’s late husband were friends and Ben has always had feelings for her. Knowing this aspect lent an air of tension and angst to the story. It was ultimately a sweet, lighthearted holiday romance that will have you in your feels. I mean…who doesn’t love a small town romance at this time of year.
The narrators captured these characters beautifully. I was blown away by the performances, not only of their own characters but the side characters as well, particularly the kids! This was an amazing story combined with a great performance and I highly recommend it!

Fun! Fun! Fun!
I love a good small town romance, and Amy Knupp is a master at writing them. This second book in the Single Dads of Dragonfly Lake and we focus on widower, Ben. He has two kids, llamas and horses! When his best friend's widow, Emerson finds herself and kids homeless, he offers his home to them. They have known each other since high school and the embers of the crush he had on her are beginning to burn. But they are just friends, right? Emerson and the kids will only stay until she finds a house, right? Feelings grow, but Emerson isn't willing to give her heart out again. There is too much pain to take the risk. Where does this one go? It's full of emotion and flirty banter. Fun times with kids and hilarity with animals. I loved this story, the small town feel, the feeding of animals and the emotional highs and low. It's easy to relate to and joy to listen to.
Patrick Zeller and Stephanie Nemeth-Parker bring all the fun with their fantastic narration. Zeller is flirty as Ben. A little uncertain at first, but a man with a huge heart, Zeller finds the best voices to make it easy to love him. Parker is Emerson, full of emotions. I love her confidence as she takes charge of her life and her uncertainty for giving her heart. Together they have a great chemistry, a family feel and create an amazing listen.

Emerson and Ben!
After her husband passed away Emerson became a single mother to her two children, but she had her mother in-law’s support. Now that her mother in-law has remarried and left town, she finds herself with no place to stay. Ben offers to have her and her children stay with him while she finds a place to rent however as she stays with him it begins to feel like home and family.
Ben is raising his tow daughters on his own since his wife passed away. He had feelings for her when they were teenagers however, she began dating his best friend. Having her live with him only deepens the feelings and chemistry between them but is she ready to let another man into her life?
Ben is a loving father and a caring man who has a huge heart while Emerson has endured so much loss, she is afraid of being hurt again. The menagerie of animals and the children added some humor to this heartwarming story. Through the narrators you could feel the depth of the emotion between them as well as the need to protect their hearts.
