Summary

Follow Andrew Scott (BAFTA-winner, Sherlock, James Bond: Spectre) and Freema Agyeman (Sense8, Doctor Who) as they race against time to solve this multi-layered political thriller.

On a sullen, cloudy July day, ten years since 7/7, the confident and optimistic British Prime Minister is visiting a charity in East London. It's just two months after the general election which saw John Campbell's government returned to power with a clear majority, the economy is on the mend and the coalition is fast becoming a bad memory.

Suddenly, a man appears from the crowd and shoots him three times in the chest.

So starts this thrilling, action-packed drama series which defies expectations at every turn. Can two of MI5's finest agents unpick a web of deceit and identify who is responsible, when organised crime syndicates, corrupt government officials and international interests conspire to keep the truth hidden?

Worth a listen but perhaps when you’re stuck

I thought the story line was good and there were some notable acting, basically Hermione Norris & Andrew Scott sounded a
Like they’ve done serious acting, however the others sounded like they were over egging it at times..

Mixed

Nicely convoluted plot, let down by seriously clichéd script and characterisations. I suppose the actors did the best with what they had but some pretty naff performances at times.

It was ok

First thing, the child sounded like an adult trying to sound like a child, it was annoying. The plot was really cheap and just too fanciful in places, it was the dialogues and Andrew Scott, Freema Agyeman and Julian Rhind-Tutt’s acting that saved it. The actress who played Jane overdone it in many scenes and the Commons scenes sounded like a meeting in a small room without the appropriate sound effects in the background, it was slightly confusing. All in all the acting of these very talented stars was a bit wasted on this hurried and cliche ridden story.

Engrossing drama series

Really enjoyed this 10 part drama series. I love Spooks and crime thrillers and this didn’t disappoint. Great cast and a plot full of twists, it was a lot of fun.

Confusing and abrupt end

I am at a loss as to how the villains at the beginning with all the money involved ended up with a solo person who seemed to be uninvolved with that same agenda. The lack of continuity really spoilt the story. Soundtrack was excellent by all narrators
