Summary

In this debut collection, a cast of queer youth search out connection, fulfillment, and redemption inside gay clubs and raves, covered in strobe lights and dancing to an endless supply of house and trance music into the early morning hours.

At the infamous New York nightclub Limelight, a gay teen who must figure out how to reestablish a recently damaged relationship with his mother whom he knows loves him, and cut ties with his first serious lover, the club's DJ, a man who may never have cared for him; during a show at gay club in New Jersey, an ex-RuPaul Drag Race contestant exacts her revenge on another contestant for stealing her chance at the national spotlight; a youth runs away from his alcoholic mother who has always put her booze before him, but at a rave he soon finds he must confront her during a night of ecstasy and acid; an aging DJ in Asbury Park must come to terms with the slow death of the industry he still holds dear as well as the sudden death of the only man he ever loved.
