Effective!

Getting a good nights sleep can be a challenge
After going through the whole day and all you can think about is going to sleep, and then lying in bed and then not being able to is very frustrating. You can feel so defeated and wonder what the problem?! , there is a way we can get better sleep by increasing our understanding of what it takes and changing our environment to induce it. Eye-opening!
I love that this book delves into the science of sleep. Putting this into perspective really helped me grasp the concepts of how hormones and other imbalances can affect your sleep quality. I appreciate that the author offers really actional strategies liek the 10-2-3-1-0 sleep rule. I've been able to share what I've learned with my husband, and we've both experienced better quality of sleep due to this book. The narration was well-done. A time-worthy listen!

If you are anything like me, you have this new fun issue-poor sleep! This book hit me at just the right time.

Comprehensive and Insightful
Dr. Jordan Burns brings experience and wisdom to this essential book for those who have difficulty getting enough rest. After a fascinating chapter on the science behind sleep, Dr. Burns offers actionable and comprehensive sleep habits. These go beyond (but, of course, include) oft-given advice about consistency and include your bedroom environment, how to think about your 90-minute sleep cycles, when to stop various activities that can interfere with sleep, useful daytime rituals, and more. He also demonstrates the tight relationships between sleep and mental health, sleep and physical health, and sleep and relationships, discussing the ways in which these relationships are bidirectional and offering concrete advice. He also helps you to determine whether you might suffer from a sleep disorder and discusses a variety of possible treatments. The book is clearly written, and the narration is engaging.

Better Sleep Ahead!
I was very interested in this book because I have just been tired lately and wanted to know more about sleep to figure out why. I really liked the explanation of sleep positions and their pros and cons. While I have always heard you should get 8 hours of sleep per night it was interesting to hear that there is a range that varies person to person - and that quality is better than quantity. The approach of having a weekly target for number of sleep cycles is a real breakthrough for me - because I have a variety of commitments day to day the idea that I can vary when I get different amounts of sleep and still get what I need works really well. Overall this book provided me with a lot of good information that I will be using to improve my sleep habits. Highly recommend.

Knowledgeable author, really great read!
Another multilayered, informational, and practical book by Dr. Burns! This guy knows his stuff. I was interested in learning not just HOW to improve my sleep but WHY his recommended tactics work (and WHY my current lifestyle doesn't support the best rest I can get). Understanding the reasoning behind the recommendations is very useful for me to motivate myself to make beneficial lifestyle changes. I recommend all his books!

A must-listen for anyone struggling with sleep
I really enjoyed this book. The author did a great job, it explained the science of sleep in a really easy, fun way to understand, and it taught effective habits and natural remedies to help with sleep issues. My partner has been having sleep issues lately and listening to this book provided us many practical ways to help! Knowing when to put the electronic device away and how to create an ideal sleep environment was helpful but the supplements, breath work, and chiropractic techniques to promote better sleep were really valuable and we have seen an improvement already when implementing the breath work techniques. A great resource - highly recommend!

Making complex concepts accessible!
Finally, a sleep book that goes beyond the basics. The author strikes a perfect balance between science and practicality, it can be easily understood by a normal person like me haha and the natural remedies section introduced me to new approaches I hadn't considered before. Highly recommend it!
