A must for all Wrestling fans

16 years later this is still a great book. Soo funny in places. There's only one Terry Funk! Would recommend for any fan of Terry Funk or a Wrestling fan anywhere from the 60's-2005.

The Best And Most Real Wrestling Autobiography

this one has been my absolute favourite wrestling book so far I have read and listen to lots of the greats and this is right up there with Sabus book. really insightful and tells about Terry's incredible career both hardcore and beyond. it is absolutely incredible to hear about all of the.guys Terry has wrestled with and worked for and he tells it like it is. some truly laugh out loud moments in this book and he does not hold back.

I am truly gutted that it has ended it's that good.

A good listen, a little dated now

it's over 10 years old, but a great listen and the funker is quite preemptive in some of good predictions

Fantastic book with Jeremy Arthur being my new fav

Too many audibles are ruined by a bad reader or one that just doesn't sit well with me but I'm glad to say Jeremy Arthur is my new favourite. This is a wonderful story into Terry Funks life. I will be the first to admit I was never really a "fan" of his, i knew Mick Foley idolized him so I felt i should at least listen to his Biography and im so glad I did

I now have a much better understanding of how he helped shape wrestling and how sadly there is no longer that world of wrestling that he and the other greats like Ric Flair help create or at least maintain from the greats before them. Most of us im sure reading these books cant even understand what it is about modern wrestling that kids like, i for one certainly cant. Its a world full of writers and scripts , something Terry Funk would never allowed himself to do

Hopefully there is a correction and men like Terry are allowed rise to the top, not based on 6 pack and acting like a jumping jack in the ring, but about their personality and ring presence. Men like Terry Funk and Jake the Snake never had great bodies but there was an Aura when they spoke and when they fought

Wrestling needs to go backwards, "Progressives" stole something from us and its sad to see this moden wrestling has lost it soul

This book is a great glimpse into an Old forgotten world we should try remember more

great for a wrestling fab

overall I really enjoyed this but I did find it lacking in some areas. Maybe it was my own expectations but I was hoping for more information on the stories told. I feel like Terry was holding back because he either didn't want to expose too much or say the truth of some of his workers and friends.
He writes a good solid boon of his family and how he grew up. I loved that part. I really just wish for more from a legend that is Terry Funk because he has so many stories I bet he could tell.

Road stories from a true legend

This was an awe inspiring look into the life and career of Terry Funk. I stumbled upon it by chance and some 10 hours later I’ve discovered a newfound love and respect for him. Terry lived such a fascinating life and hearing stories from the road and reflections from someone in the business was really informative and at times very funny.
Definitely a must listen for all wrestling fans, both those who have devoutly followed his career and those who have only seen the occasional match.
