About this listen

From the globally bestselling author of the Chronicles of St Mary's series, a not-so-ladylike aristocrat meets the world's most unlikely butler, and together they bring a whole new meaning to partners-in-crime...

'Clever, funny and made my heart hurt in the best way' Stephanie Butland, bestselling author of Found in a Bookshop

Meet Lady Amelia Smallhope, for whom there is no problem that can't be solved by a drink and a think.

And Pennyroyal, for whom there is no problem. Ever.

Everyone's favourite time-travelling bounty hunters. Sorry - 'recovery agents'. No bad guy they can't handle. No expense account too flexible. No rule they cannot break.

As long as they're together, the world is their oyster. And they'll always have each other, right?

Fasten your seatbelts. The timeline doesn't know what's about to hit it.

Loved it

I just loved it, especially the way it fitted with reference to the St Mary’s and Time Police books - it alluded to them without repeating the same stories - and now we know how old they are! Lots of other little nuggets too…. Brilliant. I don’t know how JT keeps track!!

Bloomin Brilliant!!

I hate it when these books come to an end as I always always always feel such sadness as I know I'll have to wait for ages for the next St Mary's/spin-off to be released...How long till the next one??

Everything was perfect.

If you're a fan of Jodi Taylor, then you'll know this is the story that wanted to be written.

And we, the fans, have benefitted from another sublime masterpiece.

It helps solve some of the back-stories we get with St. Mary's, and yet this is a standalone tale in many respects.

The usual emotional rollercoaster happens. This means you can find yourself laughing one moment, crying the next.

Jodi Taylor has the ability to weave together such a masterpiece of words, that you become totally emersed in the story.

Zara Ramm does her usual immaculate job of narration, and is definitely in my God tier of narrators.

Overall, another of the stories I will listen to time and time again.

Thank you Jodi for answering so many questions... and for posing so many more!
Also noticing his surname, where does Uncle Albert fit ( you little minx Ms Taylor) ? Can't wait to hear more 😄

Brilliant book and recording.

Thoroughly enjoyed this book. Fast paced, amusing and entertaining. The narrator is excellent. If you enjoy the St Mary’s novels, you will enjoy this.

Another brilliant romp from Jodi Taylor

Fast paced, fun and frolics. Jodi has done it again! Brilliant plot, giving lots of back story to characters we have met in the St Mary’s Chronicles and Time Police series, all brought to life by the talented Zara Ramm.

Nice to know more about this couple

The book was entertaining but I’m getting a little tired of all the ‘what if’ drawn out moments.

Brilliant as ever

Fascinating characters, vivid writing, excellent plot, brilliantly read by Zara Ramm, as ever. Highly recommended - and let's hope it's the first of a new series.

The link between the books

Having listened too all St Catherine’s and the TTP books, this is so amusing linking all the books. Just wonderful, brilliant work.
