About this listen
Prudence Carlson has been lucky in life. A fulfilling wedding-planning business run with her girlfriends in Colorado, plus the best guy friend ever in her firefighter bestie Finn. All that's missing from it is a baby. Luckily, it's the 21st century - Pru can take matters into her own hands. She doesn't need to find true love to create the future love of her life.
Except all this talk of babies and insemination and...Pru and Finn cross a line they never expected to. Sure, one night of passion won't change their close friendship. Until Pru goes in for a fertility check-up to find...she's already pregnant.
As best friends, Pru and Finn have survived college, new jobs, and bad breakups, but can they survive crib shopping, birth classes, and late-night cravings? Especially when Finn has never considered himself even remotely Daddy material?
Contains mature themes.

Loved this story
Found this on a audible pop up recommendation it was lovely I’ve trawled good reads for friends to lovers tropes but never came across this title before it was a good read just my type of book and the narrator was good unlike some I’ve had to listen to resentful this audiobook I would definitely recommend

Sweet romance…
The story was predictable but still enjoyable. I’m a die-hard romantic so this made me smile.

I rarely leave low reviews because I can usually find something positive to highlight in a story, but this one left me completely disappointed. The Best Friend Problem felt formulaic and uninspired, with a conclusion as unsatisfying as a piece of cheap Christmas chocolate. While the narration by Charlotte North was solid, even a great narrator can only do so much with a poorly developed storyline.
The entire plot came across as an overly preachy, ultra-feminist rant, which might have worked better if the characters had been more relatable or multidimensional. Unfortunately, the male lead felt like a caricature, and the dynamic between the characters was more irritating than engaging. If these people were my coworkers, I’d consider a career change—perhaps even one involving a prison sentence—just to escape their guilt-tripping antics and overly saccharine interactions.
Sadly, I can’t say I enjoyed this one, and I doubt I’ll be continuing with the Mile High Happiness series.
