Narration
I am a fan of Sarah Morgan’s books but for me the narration detracted from the story. In my opinion, the narrator ruined the story by speaking quickly and in what seemed to be bullet points. The words were almost fired at you and it spoilt it. I use audible to help me when I can’t sleep but this didn’t help at all. I’ll be avoiding books by this narrator in future.

Not Much Christmas
I rather felt that Christmas was added to flesh out this storyline.
Very little of the main thread connected to Christmas.
A story for any season. You don’t get a hug of Yuletide warmth.

A rollercoaster of emotions
I’m glad I read this before Christmas as there were parts I found quite tough and sad I think if I’d have read it nearer Christmas I’d have been a blubbering wreck until I’d finished it! I didn’t really warm to the main character, Imogen at first but as the story progresses, you understand why she is like she is and what a lovely character she turns out to be!
A great book and fantastic start to the festive period.

A festive feel good story
A simple little story, but if something "nice" and jolly is what you're after for enjoying some Christmas cheer then this is for you!
The story is set around a lady called Imogen who just wants to fit in. She makes up a pretend life, which gets out of control as she has to expand on stories and which become uncovered.
A stressful job and need to escape land her away in the country unexpectedly, and there more surprises take hold, but this time in a good way.
Lots of little twists, family dynamics, love and hardships, and lots of festive cheer. A lovely read.
