Summary
Do you know where your kids are?
The brand new up-all-night thriller from the Sunday Times bestselling author of Richard and Judy pick The Holiday and The Catch.
I should have known something was wrong. I should have sensed it. Felt it in the air, like the build-up of pressure before a thunderstorm, that heavy, loaded calm.
The curfew
Andy and Laura are good parents. They tell their son Connor that he can go out with friends to celebrate completing his exams, but he must be home by midnight.
The lie
When Connor misses his curfew, it sets off a series of events that will change the lives of five families forever.
The truth?
Because five teenagers went into the woods that night, but only four came out. And telling the truth might mean losing everything...

Okay!
This novel started well. I enjoyed it up to about chapter 46. I’m at chapter 48 now and my interest has waned. The quality of the writing is good, but the story isn’t developed well enough to be very engaging. Unfortunately, I just don’t care enough about the characters to want to know what becomes of them.

Another excellent book
Brilliant! Loved the story, likeable characters (most of them) and the narrator is 5 star. Worth a credit

Enjoyed it
While it terrified me somewhat about my own children turning into teenagers, I really enjoyed this book. I really liked the bang up to date references to the latest social media & the pandemic, felt really relevant. Enjoyed it & stayed up to hear the ending!

Quite entertaining, but drawn out
Worth a listen if you enjoy a typical domestic thriller. Not always very fast paced and Logan's repeated description of female characters being 'little' and 'small' became quite irritating. Armitage's narration wasn't as good as I hoped, felt comedic at points.

Enjoyable, Gripping and Thrilling
Found this book not at all predictable slow to get into but once it did it left me guessing till the last chapter

Disappointing
Great narration as always from Richard Armitage, but parts of the story felt too unrealistic or obvious. My first listen to a TM Logan story, didn't love it 😕

Really Enjoyed, Great Listen
This is my type of book, relatable characters, good story which kept me hooked and guessing until the end.
I looked for others by this author after but realised I had already listened to them all and enjoyed them.
