Summary

From the Wall Street Journal bestselling author of 44 Chapters About 4 Men (inspiration for the hit series Sex/Life on Netflix) comes the highly anticipated sequel to her dark Irish mafia romance, Devil of Dublin.

Growing up, I spent every night tucked under my mother’s arm, dreamily listening to tales from her favorite book series—Legend Has It by Darby Donovan, a collection of spooky folklore about a town called Glenshire and the lonely, gray-eyed fairy prince who haunted the woods there. I knew they were just stories, but when my mother died and left me in the care of my cold, abusive father, that fictional fairy prince suddenly became very, very real to me. It was as if he was always there, hiding in the shadows, offering me his silent comfort. I turned him into an imaginary friend when I needed one most.

And thirteen years later, I’m doing it again.

When my coastal Irish town is bombed by the new Russian president, a Bratva leader seeking revenge on the United Irish Brotherhood, those missiles destroy everything I’ve ever known—my home, my family, and evidently my sanity—because when I pull an injured Russian Navy officer out of the sea, a man who led the charge against my town, I can’t bring myself to let him die.

Secluded together in my secret hiding spot, we’re safe from the Mafia war raging outside, but the overwhelming connection I feel to this stranger is a battle I fight every single day. I hate him with everything that I am, but when he looks at me with those smoky gray eyes, all I see is my friend. When he touches me, all I feel is desire. And when he wraps his lips around the sustenance I offer him, all I want is to feel them pressed against mine, loving me, putting me back together.

But no one can live in a fantasy world forever, and when reality finally finds us, the truth about him is worse than anything I could have imagined.

The man I rescued is no fairy prince.

He’s the goddamn Devil himself.

Brilliant Story & Narration🎧 Incredibly Moving!

BB Easton’s “Devil of Dublin” blew me away completely, and I was ecstatic hearing there would be a sequel, and I wondered how could she top a story like that or even keep up the momentum, well the wonderment is over and I can say that BB Easton has outdone herself with this book, delivering another amazing story that is both intriguing and mesmerizing. The book had me with that opening scene, a heart pounding scene and the scenes that follow did too. Once I started the audiobook, it was impossible to stop because I needed to know what was going to happen next. This is an imaginative tale with original storylines and I loved all the layers of the story, the complexity of the characters, the folklore weaved into the story and how brilliantly everything fell in place. To get the most out of the incredible world building, you definitely should read, or even better, listen to the audiobook before starting this one. And it is best to go in to this book knowing as little as possible, read the blurb and that is it, avoid spoilers going in and enjoy the ride and it is one wild ride. This is a cleverly plotted story with plenty of angst, action, thrilling suspense, heartfelt emotions, and a romance like no other. BB Easton, thank you for another impressive story and emotional rollercoaster, a story that will stay with me for a very long time.

🎧📚🎧 Eric Nolan and Elizabeth Klett deliver another outstanding performance of bringing the characters to life, with newcomers Odette O’Beirne and Laurence Killen joining in to round off this amazing multi-cast production. Nolan and Klett absolutely kill it as the lead characters, each showcasing every aspect of their character’s  personality, Klett’s Clover was fierce and Nolan as Damien will give you chills. O’Beirne and Killen were just as fabulous in their roles as well. They set the perfect tone for the story, captured all the characters’ emotions and had you feeling each one. These four made a great team, their voices complemented each other and they were a pleasure to listen to. They are entertaining storytellers and their performance elevates this already brilliant story to another level. Thank you for this amazing listen and performance.

Heart-wrenching!

BB Easton has written another phenomenal book. The Devil Himself is a captivating, heart-wrenching enemies to lovers story about love, loss, and endurance. My heart was ripped out and put back together while listening to this story. Clover and Damien's story was not at all what I expected and I cannot tell you how much I enjoyed listening to this story.

I highly recommend listening to this audiobook. Eric Nolan, Elizabeth Klett, Odette O’Beirne, and Laurence Killen have done an amazing job narrating.

Sequels are tricky... I don't know of a better one.

BB Easton sprinkles ethereal folklore like wildflowers in a meadow, across an epic fairytale of desperate souls, the trauma and love that binds them.

Vivid imagery, heart racing action and soul ripping romance all combine to force you to fall in love and never want to leave even when it's a terrible and terrifying place.

The narration is excellent, I was so hoping for a duet for this one and even my already high expectations were exceeded.

Odette is completely captivating, really bringing both sunshine and ferocity to an intense story, utterly believeable!
Meanwhile Eric brings desperation, strength and vulnerability to a, frankly, astonishing degree. Poor lad must have needed a rest after this one.
The support cast were wonderful, it was great to hear Elizabeth again, and its always such a treat to hear from BB herself.
