Summary

Tippany Ridge is a North Carolina coastal town famous for three things: fishing, surfing and mermaids. Mermaid sightings don’t occur very often, but when they do what a ruckus! Everyone gets crazy and searches out Viola Fox, the proverbial fisherman’s daughter. Only one thing is certain on Tippany Ridge: if there's a mermaid sighting then somebody's already dead.

The pacing of the audiobook is well-balanced, maintaining a steady build-up of suspense while interspersing moments of reflection and discovery.
