Summary

Some lines should never be crossed.

Police corruption, an investigation that ends in tragedy and the mystery of a little girl’s silence – three unconnected events that will prove to be linked by one small town.

While detective Cormac Reilly faces enemies at work and trouble in his personal life, garda Peter Fisher is relocated out of Galway with the threat of prosecution hanging over his head. But even that is not as terrible as having to work for his overbearing father, the local copper for the pretty seaside town of Roundstone.

For some, like Anna and her young daughter, Tilly, Roundstone is a refuge from trauma. But even this village on the edge of the sea isn’t far enough to escape from the shadows of evil men.

predictable

Predictable storyline but a good easy listen by my favoured narrator.
Pity other books by author are on 2/3 hours long so not worth the money

Love it, I really hope there is a 4th book
for the Cormac Reilly series. The
narrator was excellent.

Great read

This is the third book in the Cormac Reilly series and I have enjoyed all three, the narration by Aoife McMahon is first class and the storyline from the first book to the last is very good.I would advise reading the the first two books before this to get to know the characters. There are two more shorter stories to follow but if your like me and like a good ten hour listen I would wait to see if there any any offers before I read them.

Positively brilliant

Extremely disappointed that I haven't another of Dervla McTiernan's books to read or listen to, I really have loved each one and hopefully there will be another in the same series.

Not her best

A little disappointing as I have loved the others in series. The plot was quite contrived and the story somewhat predictable.
