Dreamy and ambient, but also quite klishé

If you like phrases like "they looked into eachothers eyes and the time stood still" or "hush, my love" or "and their fate was sealed" then you might enjoy these stories. They were a little too much like a romantic movie from the 50s for me.
As for the actual stories, its mostly dreamy simple men presenting their nostalgia for ye olden days when everything was easier and more beautiful, especially women, their bodies and faces, but they were oh so stubborn and homely! You get the idea.
The atmosphere of the stories can be nice, kind of mysteriously dreamy, nostalgic and light. And the narration is great. But I dont particularily like the style nor am I able to relate to any of the characters, so this wasnt a match.
