Summary

A cave deep in the Judean desert. A 2000-year-old list. Tantalising clues that Jesus Christ wrote a prophetic testament. The discovery galvanises the world. Does the testament still exist? If so, what will be revealed if it is unearthed? Within hours, scholars, fortune tellers, religious groups and reporters are searching for the testament. Among them are Michael Farber, leading international biblical scholar, and Judith Abramovich, an Israeli archaeologist.

Before long Michael and Judith must contend with the machinations of Jimmy Wilson, an American charismatic evangelist with his own reasons for wanting the testament, and Daniel Rhymer, special envoy from the Vatican, who fears for the future of his religion if the testament is ever found.

Good story spoiled

What did you like most about The Lost Testament?

The story was excellent and the author had obviously done his homework

Would you recommend The Lost Testament to your friends? Why or why not?

No, not as an audio book but probably as a novel

How did the narrator detract from the book?

The narrator was dire!. He drew out words unnecessarily and his accents were atrocious. He made the book extremely hard to listen to. It was as if he had just picked the book up and was barking at the print with the emphasis in the wrong places!

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

I couldn't take too much of the narrator but the story was good.

Any additional comments?

I definitely won't be listening to anything read by this narrator again. In fact one star is being generous.

Not relevant as I stopped the reading
