A great adventure story!
This felt like a kind of classic adventure story that every kid (preteens especially) can enjoy. It's clearly well set up for that particular age group and that transition phase between childhood and adulthood - full of characters who are both trying to understand the world around them and needing to venture forth on their own. Family and friends who support and believe in the lead character, but also a story about her finding her own path. The ending kind of suggests there may be more to come, and I certainly hope there will at least be a sequel. This would make a great series!
