Summary

From the New York Times best-selling author of The Reason for God.

In previous books, respected New York pastor and best-selling author Timothy Keller has looked at such diverse and topical subjects as the existence of God, our need to do justice, the meaning of Jesus' life, and the human temptation to make idols - all through the twin lenses of a biblical framework and an engagement with contemporary culture.

In this new book, coauthored with his wife, Kathy, he turns his attention to that most complex of matters: our need for love and its expression in marriage.

Beginning with the biblical narrative and its pictures of marriage that span the original ideal to the broken to the redemptive, he looks at themes of friendship and commitment; the completion of men and women in each other; singleness, sex and divorce; and ministry and discipleship within the context of marriage. This is a profound and engaging work that will challenge and inspire people in all stages of life - single, newlywed and married.

A must read! No doubt!

Excellent book. For married as well for those not yet and also those looking foward to do it.
In this book you will find many points of view that probably you never thought about it before.
I personally found it very interesting and challenging in many aspects, but most of all really deep in meaning.
I will leave you to it.
Enjoy and repeat if you can. 😊
Many thanks.

Excellent explanation of what marriage is really all about. I would recommend it to anyone who wants to get married. I would also recommend it to anyone who is already married.

Eye-opener

I've been married for more than seventeen years and I had no idea what it was about. It is an expression of divine love.

I read the book three times (I'm a slow learner) and now, listened to it; I highly recommended it.

Lloyd James is an excellent narrator.

Timothy Keller and Kathy Keller make the theme free from confuse or ambiguity.
Even if you're not a Christian, you can benefit from it.

Clarifying and strengthening

The choices that Tim and Kathy made of the topics addressed on this book were helped clarify some of my previous doubts and to strength my convictions of the past as a Christian woman. Many new ideas in this book will help me seek growth and comfort in God and in my marriage. Thank you.
