Survival Guide To Menopause

This book is a fun read, the author uses humor along with some essential information for women going through menopause. Who doesn’t enjoy a good laugh in the midst of life’s most stressful times? You will find detailed information on perimenopause, menopause and post-menopause and strategies for managing most symptoms. I recommend this book for any and all women of “age” whoever you are, you will need this book.

Menopause 101

Perkinson does a great job of approaching menopause with great tips and tricks and doesn't shy away from the tough stuff. I appreciate the chapters and information on night sweats and mood swings, but I really like how she digs into helping me get a better night's sleep and my favorite part was about helping my husband cope with me and all I am going through. Really helpful nuggets there!

Luxury of growing older

Although I am still a bit young for menopause, the medication I was taking caused me to experience symptoms similar to it. Waking up with a nasty sensation of sweat dripping down from my head was distressing. I absolutely hated these symptoms, but this book presented a new way of thinking. The author's kindness, humor and love made me start to think that experiencing and aging into menopause might be one of the luxuries of being human. It's a very enlightening and informative book that I highly recommend it for pre menopausal generations too.
