Summary
We harbor roughly the same number of microbes as we have cells. This complex ecosystem is crucial to our health, affecting many processes including immunity, child development, and bone density regulation. Research in this area has exploded, and in this audiobook, we highlight some of the most exciting work on how the microbiome develops, its influence on brain and behavior, and implications in both contributing to and treating various disorders.

A fascinating range of information
It was a pleasure to be able to access such a diversity of scientific papers, which were delivered with clarity to this lay reader

Such a fascinatingly in depth amount of data
I couldn't stop listening to this.
Granted, the subject matter is one I have studied and am fascinated by, but the amount of insights gained was remarkable

Good book for general information about the topic
Interesting review of the research around macro biome, not a lot on how to replenish it naturally…. Good for foundations

Collection of interesting old articles
This is not a book with a coherent or logical development, but rather a collection of short reports in a popular science magazine.
The material is good, but superficial and repetitive.
The voice actor speaks clearly and handles the complex language well, but with a grating American accent...

Awful reading
Was really interested to hear the content but too distracted by narrator. Sounds like it is computer read. Very off putting.
