About this listen
A New York Times best seller
The Motorcycle Diaries is Che Guevara's diary of his journey to discover the continent of Latin America while still a medical student, setting out in 1952 on a vintage Norton motorcycle together with his friend Alberto Granado, a biochemist. It captures, arguably as much as any book ever written, the exuberance and joy of one person's youthful belief in the possibilities of humankind tending toward justice, peace, and happiness.
After the release in 2004 of the exhilarating film of the same title, directed by Walter Salles, the book became a New York Times and international best seller.

An great insight into the development of a hero
A wonderful insight into the development of a man who became the hero Che’.
Whilst a great reveal on his development, the epilogue brings such sadness as to the way the West has dominated everything, promoting greet and abject slavery in so many corners of the Earth.

I couldn't fully grasp it
Maybe it was the audio format or the lack of knowledge on my part of this historic individual, but something was amiss. I couldn't connect with the story, I listened to that conclusion twice to try and understand it better.
Learning more about Latin America & their experiences was somewhat interesting though.

It wasn’t for me
I can’t put my finger on exactly what’s missing for me. But i simply can’t get invested in the story. The narrative doesn’t work for me. I feel like I’m jumping from scenario to scenario. So I lose sense of story and coherence.
