Summary

The separation of mankind from God has created a void and a deeper yearning for God and for aeons of time mankind has always tried to fill that void, and thus the enemy exploited these cravings of men and directed it to himself. He perverted man’s desire for fellowship with his creator, and made him bow to idols and things he created with his very hands. It is important to note that our common enemy Satan is a very wicked spirit, and his desire to be worshipped is insatiable. The idols he made mankind bow to were all backed by spirits - it is important to understand that Idol worship is not entirely the worship of the stones or the objects in the display, the idol worshipper in essence worships the spirit behind the mask. The images in the display are a physical representation of the spirit that is been worshipped.

The enemy, for many centuries, has influenced mankind to worship these idols which were backed by demonic princes and fallen angels. Since man is generally a visual being, and thus, his desire to see, feel, and touch made him a prey to the ploys of darkness. The more man bowed to these objects, the more he was bound by the devil, and the tighter the shackles around his neck became. He sold not just his destiny, but also that of his generations yet unborn. The enemy continually influenced him to break spiritual laws so that his grip and hold on him will be stronger.

Since mankind was powerless before Satan and his minions of darkness, evil and wickedness took centre stage. The laws which governed hell began to take centre stage on the Earth, the devils began to make the Earth their home as they would in hell, and thus, hell was unleashed upon the Earth.

Satan’s inability to create life-limited him and the idols he made mankind bow to were stagnant and couldn’t speak. These were static stones and trees and could not make or break. Since man’s desire to see, feel, and touch his God rendered him into idol worship, thus God even the God of the whole earth decided to come in a body of clay, made from the very Earth and since the Idols were powerless and lifeless, the Body that was to tabernacle God was given life as a demonstration of the supremacy of Jesus Christ, and this body is still alive even to this day. Man no longer has to bow to inanimate things, his desire to see his God was accomplished when God himself took upon a body of clay and thus spoke through lips of clay and shared the same emotions, feelings, and needs as men. When we declare the Lordship of Jesus Christ, many believe we are worshipping a man, but this is far from the truth. The Lordship of Jesus Christ is centred on the deity residing within him, his spirit is not a human spirit, it is a deity in entirety, and thus, this deity happens to be God Almighty ruler overall.
