Summary
The enthralling new psychological thriller from the best-selling author of The Girl Before.
When Abbie Cullen met Tim Scott, she was a struggling artist and he was the brilliant British cofounder of one of Silicon Valley's most successful start-ups.
Within six months, they were married. But when she promised him in her wedding vows that she would love him forever, she had no idea just how literally he would take it....

starts intriguingly then kind of jumbles
a great twist on a regular domestic thriller, but what start out as a question of what makes humanity then seems to my mind to suggest that autism was as questionably human as AI... I must be reading that wrong but it got on my nerves! throw in a series of end twists that didn't add anything to my enjoyment, rather seemingly included to check the "twist box" requirement. overall 3 stars because I kept listening intrigued, the performance was good and I enjoyed the sci fi twang to it but not so much the smudging about of the story, felt like the author wanted to make philosophical point or ten but couldn't decide how or which. mostly my take away is that people good at tech stuff may have questionable morals and artists are randy,...

Another Cracking Book from JP Delaney
Delaney has produced another original, gripping and absorbing thriller.
I found it very hard to put this down and found the near future world he created easy to step into. It's thought provoking, leaving me questioning what it is to be sentient and if you need to be human to be a good parent.
I don't want to reveal too much as I find Delaney is one of those authors whose books are much better when you have no idea what you're getting into. As with his other books, you can't trust you know what's going on. And this is what I love about him - there are twists and turns you might not expect but they always tie into something mentioned earlier in the book and the penny drops. It's clear he puts as much into his research and planning as he does the story.
J.P. Delaney has fast become one of my favourite authors. I discovered him on Audible and am getting through his books fast. He never disappoints.

So glad I persevered after first chapter.
After first chapter I stopped, disappointed that this wasn’t “my type” of book. Decided as I had bought it I would listen for a while and I’m so glad I did! Totally different but loved it, absolutely loved it. Great story and kept me in suspense right to the end.

just like his other books, I was hooked from the first chapter, with a few unexpected twists along the way, this one won't disappoint!

Imperfect
A bit disappointed by the ending. I was expecting a bit more drama after investing so many hours. I did get a bit confused by the voices sometimes, who was who. I really got into Abbie’s AI character through the narration but I hated her voice for Tim. Or maybe I just didn’t like Tim as a person. Not sure.

Thought provoking
A missing wife replaced by her husband with an AI copy of her . Police tried and failed to convict him of murder as there was no body and no evidence. The AI has. Wen programmed with Abbies memories and social media but is she intelligent and free thinking enough to discover why she was really created . Can she cope with the emotions of being a mum to a 15 year old with Autism? Some really interesting characters in this book . I liked the duel narration but wondered why it was there . You literally find out in the last chapter so lots to keep you guessing .An enjoy listen.
