Summary

Gaston Leroux’s Phantom of the Opera ends with Erik dying of a broken heart when Christine leaves him. But was that really the end of the story? Or did Erik simply fake his death to throw the authorities off his trail? One of the greatest stories of all time - Phantom of the Opera - continues!

This complete collection incudes:

  • For Love of the Phantom: At the end of the Phantom of the Opera, Gaston Leroux declares the Phantom dead. And by all evidence, he is. But what really followed that terrible parting in the Opera House?
  • Skeletons in the Closet: Twenty years after the Phantom of the Opera has vacated the Paris Opera House, his past catches up with him, endangering not only his own life, but that of his beloved.
  • Phantom Rising: The Phantom of the Opera relates the story of his childhood and young adult years, including how he came to know Christine.

Extraordinary narration, thrilling beautiful story

This is one of the very best Phantom stories I've ever come across in the past decades. The narration is equally extraordinary. I would venture saying this is as excellent as, if not more, than Kay's. And for the old school Phantom Phans, this is a high honour 🙂. Delightful story. Thrilling while realistic and fully in-character plot development. Thank you very much for this!

OK to pass some time

This was an enjoyable series that built on well know characters and expanded their worlds, however for me it just seemed to miss the spark of what made the characters so strong in the original story.

I know multiple narrators can be expensive but I think in this case it would have really help lift the quality if the narration. Davyne DeSye does a good job with the solo narration, I just think having other tones added would help with the story telling.

Overall an enjoyable but not memorable story.
