Summary

The reason for writing The Power of Intention in Islam: The Niyya is my critical reflection on the social spirit: Why does our German society primarily emphasize the material end result of a work? Despite material progress and our focus on material perfectionism, we are generally unhappy as industrially developed people. Why is this? I try to find an answer and a solution for this.

Preachy and uninformative

I was given this free review copy audio book at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

The Book

The subject matter I thought might be interesting and enlightening about a subject I have little knowledge of. It wasn't.

Largely this was to do with lots of quoted bits of the Quran and due to this it seemed overly preachy and formal rather than trying to nicely inform listeners about the subject and the authors point.

The Production

The other poor part of this was the narration, it seemed stilted and flat and In no way brought across anything the author was trying to say. In combination with the content this didn't stand a chance.
