Rosie Milford inherits a house in an old silk factory after her mother’s death and moves there with her young children. Orphan Beulah Fiddement works as a bobbin winder and has secrets that the master would go to any lengths to get. Caught up in a dark adult world of illicit love, rebellion and revenge, Beulah must put away her childhood and draw on all her spirit to protect those she loves.
Beulah’s story of guilt and bravery will echo down two centuries and change Rosie’s life as she struggles to overcome the hand of her own past and find redemption.

Intriguing
This was my very first audible book and I am so grateful that I could get it played on my
i-Phone. So enjoyable, that I think I would even like to listen again in the future.

A good read
This was my first audiobook and a good choice. It was gripping and intriguing as the the two stories run parallel and unraveled. I liked the fact that it was a ghost story as it made it more gripping.

just couldn't get into it
really struggled with this one the flipping of times didn't flow well
ahh well maybe I just didn't get it either way not enjoyable
