When 24-year-old Manny McMillan, professional playboy and slacker, finds out that he has been written out of his wealthy grandfather's will, he's furious. That is, until he learns that there's a catch. Indeed, Manny's grandfather wants his deadbeat grandson to earn his inheritance...in the form of a real-life treasure hunt. A pirate treasure hunt, no less.

That is exactly what he leaves his grandson behind: a real treasure map.

Now Manny reluctantly begins his search for his inheritance on the island of Montserrat, where he soon attracts the attention of a corrupt government official and promptly lands himself in jail. Once there, he saves a mysterious man named Kang - a man with a secret agenda of his own. Slacker or not, Manny has a few tricks up his sleeve. After all, jail is exactly where Manny wants to be. According to the treasure map, the secret tunnel to the treasure horde begins beneath the prison itself.

Manny's quest begins as he is joined with the mysterious Kang, who may or may not be trusted. Now on the run and deciphering the map as they go, Manny and Kang are about to discover the lengths that one clever pirate will go to hide his buried treasure...and what greed will do to the hearts of some men.
