Summary

A curated collection of magic...and murder.

When a set of bound manuscripts written on magician-made paper is brought to the Glass Library, Sylvia and the professor send the owner away. After all, the library collects books about magic, not containing it.

But the murder of the bookbinder who bound them sees the books returned to the library, along with Gabe in his role as consultant for Scotland Yard. When his investigation uncovers a link to Sylvia’s past, they’re even more determined to find the murderer. But they’re not the only ones searching for answers. Someone has gone to great lengths to find the truth behind the binding of the books.

The hunt for the killer leads them to dark corners of London and unscrupulous players with much to gain by owning the collection. It also leads to the discovery of long-buried secrets, and staggering revelations that shed light on Sylvia’s past.

Fabulous and hitting

This story resonated with me, As someone who served in most of the conflicts since the 90’s lost souls of soldiers are a key subject. If you listened to Glass & Steel books you know who her father is.

Are you kidding me!

Another great book. I listened to the whole thing in one sitting. The story was interesting and the narrator did another fabulous job but are you seriously telling me that I’ve got to wait until March next year to find out if gabe and Silvia get together?? You could cut the sexual tension with a knife. It’s going to be a long 5 months.

A simply wonderful series of stories,

listened to the first three one after the other and almost non stop. Looking forward to the next and then getting the original Glass collection.
The word performed is used rather than just narrated and it certainly is. All the characters are brought to life superbly.
Bravo to everyone involved.

it's good..

If you liked the others, you'll like this, it won't change your world but it is entertaining, don't over think it.

if you haven't listened to the others in this series I'd probably start with book one but you do you.

Slow progress

We’ve reached a milestone and the series is moving on - but SO slowly! Written series should never be more than three books, in my opinion. I have taken a decision to avoid series altogether, as they are rather like Easter eggs - just a cobbling together of repetitive ingredients that are more to make money than to satisfy.
