Summary

Brought to you by Penguin.

'Where is Greg Downing?'

Sports Agent Myron Bolitar is in his new office on the top of a skyscraper in New York when two FBI agents ask him this very question.

The man they refer to is a top basketball player and Myron's former client and old rival. Greg's DNA, they tell him, has been found at the scene of a high-profile double-murder, and he is now their main suspect.

It can't be Greg, Myron tells the two agents: the reason he is Myron's 'former' client is because Greg is dead. He died three years ago of a heart attack. Myron went to his funeral and gave the eulogy.

So how can a man who's already dead be wanted for murder?

But the closer Myron and his sidekick Win get to the truth about Greg Downing, the more dangerous their world becomes. Secrets, lies, and a murderous conspiracy lie at the heart of Harlan Coben's blistering new bestseller.

Enjoyable to have Myron, Wyn & the Team back

A good listen, a story with a few twists, classic Coben, but good to have the Myron & Wyn partnership back together.

Fabulous - Harlen Coben at his best!

It was great to have Myron back. This was Harlen Coben at his best, keeping us guessing to the very end.

Kept me guessing all the way through.

This is a terrific, well read and beautifully constructed mystery from the sometimes inconsistent Harlan Coben. I defy anyone to work it out before the denouement.

The only 'bum' note - and it's a small one - is the over the top characterisation of an American Jewish mother. If Myron doesn't sound like his parents that is a saving grace but how did he avoid it when a) they raised him and b) they are so overpoweringly vocal?

Another ripping Myron Bolitar/Win story!

Gripping story, superb narration and the unbeatable combination of Myron and Win, together again.

It’s like revisiting old friends. Coben crafts these characters with such skill and empathy that you feel like you are part of the story. More please and soon!!!

Disappointing

Soooooo many characters. It just fell flat for me. There were too many things happening all at once. Very disappointing.

Love having Myron and the gang back in print

Loved the story and twists / turns. Still the same depth to the characters and a story that kept me listening until the very last word. More Myron Bolitar books please!

One of THE best series out there

Huge Myron and Win fan, so you might think I’m just pre-disposed to like these. It’s so much more than that though. They’re a duo who keep evolving and growing as the series progresses. It’s full of the usual high standard of Coben twists and turns, seasoned with humour throughout and all brought together in an explosive finish. Loved it.
