Surprisingly Emotional
The story was slow to start and I wasn't sure that I would finish it but with each chapter you are drawn into their lives and by the last few chapters I had tears rolling down my cheeck. The end gave me hope that everything would work out for them all over time.

Feelgood family drama
The characters were well-drawn and some astute observations made about how life choices impact us.
I gave the story one less star because it felt a bit too neat and tidy at the end. on the one hand, that did add to the feelgood factor but on the other hand, it took away from the realism - very seldom (if ever) do all of life's loose ends get tied up in such a perfect way!

An easy listen
Typical Amanda Prowse, easy listen. Not a lot to the actual story this time and definitely not one of her best books,but still enjoyable and her narration is always good.

The seamless flow of the past and present
It made me laugh, it made me cry and I couldn’t stop listening. I loved that the author was also the narrator and had a beautiful voice, which was perfect for her book. Thoroughly recommended.

Amanda’s a genius for story telling
Hooked by the first few lines which continued all the way though. Warm characters I fell in love with, it felt honest and so true to life. The only thing i disliked is when it came to an end. I can’t wait for the next book!

Another fantastic listen xxx
I have listened to all her books and have never been disappointed; I love her narration it soothes me! The stories are always relatable and quite often I’m there in my head!! I’m always in mourning, when I’ve finished them. My one complaint, if you could call it that, is I have to wait too long for another great listen. I am definitely a huge fan x
