Summary

How can we challenge the judgements we don’t even know we’re making?

Unconscious bias affects us all. From the smallest assumption to the most sweeping generalization, the way we think about others can unknowingly influence our behaviour and shape our culture. Acting as your mentor and guide, this book will take you through the most common forms of prejudice, including gender, race, size, age and sexuality. It also explores the psychology behind our biases and provides actionable tips and simple exercises to help you combat implicit judgements.

You will learn:

  • Why our biases matter
  • How to identify your own biases
  • Techniques to mitigate unconscious bias
  • How to make objective decisions

Good listen

The book has made me think/question some bias, mainly amongst stereotyping. It’s a great start point for me as my business is expending and the information will hopefully guide me down the right path in terms of staff selection and communication.

Thanks to all involved, I’ll be recommending this to my friends and colleagues.

Can be classified as an sf book

I can’t describe in few words how stupid the book is, the author presents some statistics but non associated with the reality, at some point the author wants me to swallow all the nonsense that come from people with mental disorders without challenging their ideas, that will not ever happen to me.
Message to the author:
They are two genders, male and female, the rest of them are people with mental issues, and their need to be help by professionals
