About this listen

It is the day of her ex-husband's wedding. The press call Ursula first thing, demanding that she share her innermost feelings with the world at large. Her three children cannot restrain their excitement. After all, it isn't every day that their father marries a government minister.

Ursula herself has embarked on a shaky new relationship with Julian, a local antiquarian bookseller. But her 11-year-old daughter, Jessie, has taken the break-up very badly. Her father's favourite, she has put up walls, closed doors and turned to Julian for support - but Julian himself is hard to read. And when Jessie goes missing, everyone is caught off-guard and relationships are stretched to the limit.
