Summary

Some battles will be fought on the Homefront...

The war has had a devastating effect on the Sweet family, with young Charlie Sweet, lost at sea, presumed dead and bombs falling on nearby Bristol.

Still there is a glimmer of hope on the horizon in the form of Mary Sweet’s upcoming wedding to her Canadian beau. But even that has failed to rouse their father from his grief.

But in London a baby has been found in a bombed out house, sheltered in the arms of his dead mother. A child to make life worth living again...

Discover the gripping, heartfelt second instalment in Lizzie Lane's bestselling Sweet Sisters trilogy.

just as good as the first book, I'm just sad that there's only one book left.

how hard it was during war time to make the best of what you had.

Having to figure out how to make food go as far as possible. Not something many would understand fully nowadays. x

Brilliant!

Book 2………. Again, this wonderful novel stole my heart. Stan, Ruby, and Mary are the glue that really does bring this wonderful story together. I really am enjoying the family life. The ups and downs, the happiness, and the tears. Well don’t Lizzie. Please keep them coming. You really are penning winners. Also a huge thank you to the lovely Annie Aldington for her narration. Looking forward to Book three.
