Wow
This book totally had me on the edge of my seat rooting for Evie to survive, dispite all that was against her.
If you like me felt there where a lot of unanswered questions in the first one regarding Evie and her horrific past ...well the answers are here.
A really good 2nd part to this series .

An engaging read/listen with a satisfying ending
A well written and thought out story with interesting characters . I will now be looking out for other Michael Robotham books.

A Great book
This was a great read, it kept my interest and the description of scenes was excellent.
My only negative comment on this book was that in one chapter particularly I felt that the graphic detail was unnecessary and that a person reading the story could be affected by the sensitive content particularly, if they had suffered abuse. I do think the author could consider whether such detail is necessary to set the scene or whether this could be changed.

An Intense Thriller
I listened to the first book that was gifted by Tandem Collective UK and I couldn't wait for the second one. I had to get it on Audible straight away. I enjoyed hearing the narration again and being placed back into Evie and Cyrus life again. This is the most intense book I've ever read. The topic surrounds child sex trafficking. I'm happy with how it ended. I doubt there will be a third. There is no need. I can't reccomend this book and the first one enough. My top reads of 2020.

Great writer, but he’s getting increasingly Woke.
I’ve read the Majority of Michael’s books, I like him a lot but more and more often now he seems to think it’s a good idea to get Woke and all lefty. If he continues down this path I suspect he’ll put a lot of readers off. Also prefer Sean as the Narrator but Joe is a good second. Overall excellent book.

Classic brilliant Robotham does it again!
Great story! Hooked from beginning to end! Loved the characters and narration! Like all Robotham books I’ve previously read, I ended up having to listen to it all in one session!

Great story
This and the previous book were great stories so it didn't stop my listening and I would recommend them but the narrator's female voices always seem to have a slightly spiteful sounding tone which is slightly grating for me.

Gripping and well written
although you probably know the ending before you start, don't you?
Narrator was fine but he should have steered clear of accents. Eastern Europe became Welsh Indian mix and Jamaican sort of Irish
