An interesting introduction to a Mayflower passenger

I really enjoyed this novella with its introduction to the life and times of Desire Minter. I learned how women in that era had little control over their lives and how families had to travel far afield to get work. I'm now keen to find out what happened to Desire on her journey to America. Well read by the author who brings the story alive with her enthusiasm.

A good introduction.

This is a short introduction to the series about some of the travellers who travelled on The Mayflower in 1620. It focuses on Desire as a young girl living in England and the many changes she had experienced in her young life. I did feel sorry for Desire, she had so many heartbreaking events and yet she seemed to accept them and although she was sad, made the best of her situation. The narrator was the author and she had a voice that suited the story. She was easy to listen to. I look forward to reading more about Desire and how she got on. I received a copy and have voluntarily reviewed it. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
