Whenever I narrated my beautiful experiences of being a pilot in the Indian Air Force, having taken part in 1965 and '71 operations, done very hazardous and challenging flying in the far-eastern part of India to my friends, relatives, they were thrilled. Some of them thought that I was spinning the stories. However, those who were close to me insisted that I should write an autobiography.

I am, for one, not in favor of writing an autobiography, and I contend that biographies are mostly one-sided writings. This book shares authentic experiences or observations about persons and incidences that happened in the writer’s life.
