Fountain of youth !

I feel this could have been condensed to 2 -3 hours as most of the items are common across various chapters. Overall an insightful book . Thanks Mark .

Amazing Book - Must Listen

Originally, I only wanted to give 5 stars and leave it at that. After I read some of the reviews, I could no longer help myself.

Dear listener, remember this: the critc is always below the critiqued. Yes, the author promotes his program because he believes in it. Yes, he repeats certain aspects because they are important and need to be seeded deep into our subconscious mind.
The title describes the book. If you want to live forever, try the suggested techniques.
I doubt any of those who gave less than 4* knows an alternative to what the author describes.

Love every bit of this book, so much information what to eat, supplements to take etc. grateful for a doctor to be promoting functional medicine and helping people get healthy!

The problem with narration

Dr Hyman told many useful things about health, diet, chemistry etc. I m grateful for many insights, lots of knowledge and research.
However, I find it strange that a person who claims that he is very healthy , on top of his form in his 60-s, has a speech of a stroke patient or a sufferer with bad dentures- his speech is very unclear, slurred, with swallowed sounds in each word. I was struggling to understand what Dr Hyman says and had to rewind several times and sometimes even then it was not clear.
I suggest that next books will be read by professional actors with good clear speech.

Very Actionable And Helpful

Excellent all around and very actionable - with great detail on resources and full coverage of all areas and more that you may wish to be included. No preaching and it’s clear Dr. Mark Hyman has written about what he actually does and what he’s learned over many decades as a medical doctor and also as a longevity expert and enthusiast. Very highly recomended.

Great book on how to improve your health

Aging is a disease. The book lays out all the life style options and tools that you can use to improve your health and extend your healthy life span. It is easy understandable and not too scientific, like e.g. David Sinclair's also excellent book Healthspan. Dr Hyman explains that food and nutrition is the foundation, with exercise (cardio and weight training) to improve your health. On top of that you have several life style interventions, tools and supplements to further improve your health. The audio book comes with an PDF that lists test questions to determine what areas of your health need improving. The books website also lists links to test services and supplements providers. It's a great book to start improving your health and therefore your healthy lifespan.
My only criticism is that all the mentioned tests, tools and supplements are only available in the US. It would be nice if the author would update his books website to list alternatives to these services in other countries.
When it comes to the nutritional advice, I would always check other sources, as some advice might be contrary to the latest nutrition science. E.g. you cannot recommend all those foods/supplements mentioned to all people, as everyones gut microbiome is different. The future is personalised nutrition like ZOE, that advises food on your personal blood sugar and blood fat response and gut microbiome composition. Apart from that I can only recommend this book.
