Summary
The rules of reality have changed. All types of zombies have appeared with only one goal: Kill the living. Eric and his schoolmates must survive by adapting and growing stronger, but that's easier said than done. The undead get stronger with every passing day, and that's not even mentioning the blood moons. Even worse, the military and police seem to have disappeared. How will they acquire food? How will they survive? Find out now in this LitRPG apocalypse story.

great story, not so great narrator.
the story was great and captivating, it keept you invested. but the lack of emotions in the narrators voice (not all of the time but sometimes) took you out of the magic of the story.

Bit of a mixed bag
So the story itself is OK, it's not particular amazing but it was interesting enough to keep my attention. If there was a second book, I'd give it a listen.
As for the narration, we'll it's not the worst but the narrator is a bit bland. There was points I could almost believe i was listening to an AI generated voice.

Felt rushed
not sure if it was only the narrators fault that it felt like anything that was happening wasn't important.
But to me the narrator often sounded bored, and just wanted to get it over with by plowing through parts where pauses and/or emotion were supposed to be taking place.
Which I think is a bit weird, since I thought he was good at doing different voices, and he delivered certain lines with emotion. So why not all?
The writing felt a bit amateurish aswell, but not to the point that it put me off too much.
There were a lot of unnecessary and unnatural anime dialogue which, by the way, is put in anime to fill out the episode so they dont have to animate things that are happening. or if they think the viewer is extraordinarily stupid and need someone to explain what they just saw. So it gave the book a feeling of a low budget anime.
The characters often seemed to have been born yesterday and couldn't think further than you can throw a dandelion seed.
"oh no we only have 5 baseball bats! I guess everyone else will have to punch the zombies with their bare hands" or you know...use literally anything else as a weapon?
Also.
"what humans require most are 3 things..." Ah yes, Water, food and shelter from the elements/danger. Right? "...food, shelter and sleep"
FOOD IS THE LEAST IMPORTANT OF THESE THREE!!!...sorry.. but yeah they just worry about food, never water. which you can't be without for longer than 3 days, vs 3 weeks without food...
This is such a small thing to get stuck on, but somehow it really bothered me.
I did not dislike the book. but not something I would recommend to someone who are used to more detailed books
