  • In this episode, we interview Pinar Ozcan, Professor of Entrepreneurship and Innovation at Saïd Business School, Oxford University. We ask Pinar Ozcan about her career development, what inspires her research, what she has learned from her institutional networks, how she mastered her most important academic challenges, what scholars should take into account when conducting qualitative research, and what advice she would give younger scholars. Pinar Ozcan is the academic director of the Oxford Future of Finance and Technology (Fintech) Initiative at Oxford University. Pinar specializes in strategy, entrepreneurship, and technology markets. Her current research includes AI and business models in fintech, open banking and digital disruption in banking, and the rise of big tech platforms. Pinar completed her Ph.D. at the Stanford Technology Ventures Program (STVP) at the Stanford University Management Science and Engineering Department, and also holds a Master of Science and dual Bachelor degrees from Stanford.
