66: The Psychedelic Record Case – Part 6

  • Summary

  • The Psychedelic Record Case – Part 6 British radio DJ John Peel maintained a Record Box containing a small private collection of 143 singles. They were stored in a wooden box and represented some of his favourite 45s. This gave me an idea for a project of my own! So, today I bought a vintage psychedelic record case, probably manufactured in the mid to late sixties. It looks, feels and smells like it’s from another dimension (which it is). It’s only right and proper that I fill this beautiful case with appropriate psychedelic and ’60s garage 45s from my archive. My mission is to create short snappy mixes based on those records. Numbers interspersed with vintage ’60s radio adverts. Both sides of the Jelly Bean Bandits have been used in my mix. And finally, I do have a YouTube Channel and there are items on here of interest I’m sure! Love / hate mail via my contact form.
