    Feb 9 2025

For the first time since his father Johan III died, Sigismund is back in Sweden and looking forward to his coronation as ruler of Sweden. But before that happens, he needs to agree on some rules with the Swedish regency council and deal with the fallout of a big religious meeting in Uppsala. Will Sigismund become a slave to the Swedish nobility and why is his child being held hostage by the Polish council? We also take the time to finish off "The Long Wrath" or even the "Nordiska tjugofemårskriget" in Swedish!

We're nearing the end of King Johan's reign, but there's still time for him to try and sort out the issues surrounding his son Sigismund, and the Polish succession. Light and entertaining

It's quite light and engaging. Not terribly in depth or analytical, but I still think it's a good introduction.

I like the presentation, it's quite laid back and there is a real sense of warmth to the presentation.

Very impressed by the breadth of material covered and the amount of effort which has gone into it.

Educational, informative but also fun to listen to

Great way to get an introduction to Swedish history. As an Australian living in Sweden I found this a really good way to learn about the country I am living in and it has inspired me to read more and visit some of the places mentioned.
Really fun to listen to as well, very conversational and great humour. Looking forward to new episodes!
