    Connie shares her journey as a second-generation Korean American, her journey into public service leadership, and the modern-day racism and xenophobia placed onto AAPI and Latine communities. Together, they discuss the vital role of women of color in leadership, the rise of cross-cultural solidarity movements in the ongoing fight for health equity, recognizing that Latine and AAPI communities face similar health and social determinants of health challenges.

    From addressing language barriers and undocumented access to healthcare to fostering solidarity between communities of color, “women get sh*t done!” and these two women prove that.
